They have spirit, yes they do!

The University High competition cheer team competed in the American Spirit Championships Super Southern Nationals cheer competition at the Alamodome in San Antonio on March 3 and 4. The team, coached by Dede Moore and Karen Baier, placed first in the high school non-tumbling division. This is the second national championship the squad has earned in as many years.

“We scored the highest score the squad has ever scored at a competition,” said Moore.

The University High cheer squad won a trophy and banner for the school and each member received a national champion jacket.
