This past Saturday, University High School opened its door for the J-ROTC’s 11th annual Trojan Tykes event.  The half day event is for students between 4 and 8 years old.  Working with groups of cadets from the school’s J-ROTC program, students go through a series of fun activities that teach them how to work with other and how to be physically fit.  The cadets also put on a demonstration of a drill formation where the community can see the cadets perform routines learned in the school’s program.

1SGT Leonard Montelongo and SGT Marcus Haner use this event to both advertise the value of the J-ROTC program and give access to the community unique access to University High School, where parents and their children can see our Trojan family in action.

Congratulations to the teachers and cadets from University High School in putting together another very successful Trojan Tykes program!
