UHS JROTC Supporting Our Troops - you can help, too

JROTC is in partnering with 1LT Matthew Galindo and his unit who are currently serving at Camp Buehring, Afghanistan. We are in the process of collecting items for him and his unit. And yes, some of you might remember him. He was a former 4 year cadet who graduated from UHS in 2010 and Texas A&M in 2014. His unit deployed in July and will not return until sometime this summer.

JROTC will be writing letters in support of his unit and safe return. In addition, we will be collecting items that might make their deployment a little bit easier. See list below.

If any UHS (or other WISD School...) organizations would like to write letters or collect the items below, JROTC will be sending them a care package in the next two weeks (today's date is 2016.09.28).

If you are interested in supporting this effort, please let me, SGT Montelongo, know and you can bring the items to UHS JROTC. We will send the care packages all together in support of this unit.

Your contribution is very much appreciated.

As one who was deployed to Desert Storm, I can not express to you just how much those letters meant to me and other soldiers from my unit. Again, it will be much appreciated. Please see list below.
