The Lady Trojan Volleyball team ended predistrict play in thrilling fashion Tuesday night defeating the 6A Belton Tigers in 5 sets.  The Lady Trojans jumped out to an early 2 set lead (26-24; 25-21), before Belton came roaring back to even it up two sets a piece (25-22; 25-20).  Belton had a firm hold on University in Game 5 leading 12-4, then the Trojans turned it on.  Tereneisha Sutton (6 kills, 3 aces, 6 digs) served the Trojans to a 9-12 deficit before Belton sided out and went up 14-9.  It was Georgia State commit, Alexis Parrish (3 aces, 6 digs, 7 blocks 13 kills), who closed out the game from the service line leading the Trojans to a 16-14 victory!  Marquette commit, Kortlyn Henderson (23 kills, 8 digs, 2 aces, 3 blocks), was the muscle behind the Trojan offense, while Parrish defended the net with 7 blocks.  Callee Simmons led the offense with another 45 assist performance. Defensively, Sevn Walker picked up 22 digs to keep the Trojans in the hunt. The Lady Trojans close out Pre-District play 17-12, and go on the road to face the Rangers of Rudder Friday night in the District Opener.
